WHAT I DO
Since I, too, know what it is like to walk the journey of being “broken,” I am passionate about helping others experience the wholeness, healing, and transformation that are necessary for human flourishing. I work with individuals (18 years and older), couples, and families who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, relationship challenges, marital conflict, grief and loss, stress and anger management, the unique challenges of ministry leaders, as well as issues of spirituality. I have also worked many years with men who struggle with pornography.
WHO I AM
I have worked in Hawaii for more than 30 years serving the needs of the community in a variety of ways — from helping at-risk youth and their families find hope and strength as a social worker, to helping hundreds of individuals and couples find deep wholeness as a minister and teacher. I am originally from New Jersey, but have lived much of the last four decades in Hawaii married to a local girl (who is also a therapist). I received my M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University and am currently a licensed marriage and family therapist. Additionally, I hold advanced degrees in theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Fuller Theological Seminary.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As I have told many people over the years, what stays hidden stays hurting. So, it is my commitment to provide a safe and confidential environment to help you process openly even the most difficult issues and subjects. Along the way, I will do my best to help you discover a greater understanding of yourself, as well as healthier emotional and relational skills that will help you thrive.
